Jordan Associates, Inc. has been significantly involved in providing
environmental services for more than 20 years. The firm was founded in
Alameda County, California in 1968 and is currently headquartered in San
Francisco, California. JA was fully engaged in wastewater treatment and waste disposal at the San Francisco Southeast Treatment Plant and San Jose Treatment Plant in the mid-seventies, and in 1976, was on of five firms certified to complete Environmental Impact Reports for the City of San Francisco. Subsequently, Frederick Jordan, P.E., a firm principal and environmental proponent at Stanford University, was appointed as a technical advisor and later a management advisor to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for five years under two U.S. presidents. The firm has worked toward the successful completion of hundreds of environmental projects throughout California, elsewhere in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) and overseas. From the removal of hazardous wastes under buildings for the U.S. Navy Public Works Center, Oakland California, to current involvement in the San Francisco International Airport BART Extension Environmental Project, FEJA possesses a broad background of expertise in environmental planning, investigation, mitigation design and engineering.
