Moscone Center Expansion

San Francisco, California
    The City and County of San Francisco is committed to the goal of retaining its competitive position with major Convention Centers in the United States. To meet this goal, the City and County has a S170 million expansion of its Convention Center in progress.
    Central Block 3(CB-3), or Moscone South, includes 126,150 g.s.f. of underground exhibit, meeting room space, and support space adjacent and north of the existing convention facilities. Completion of this facility was targeted for April 1992 occupancy and was completed within schedule.
Moscone Center Expansion South    Central Block 2(CB-2), or Moscone North, is a new construction including 507,466 g.s.f. of underground exhibit, meeting room space, and support space adjacent and north of the existing convention facilities. This facility was completed in 1992.
    On a construction management team with Turner Construction Company, F. E. Jordan Associates, Inc. provided assistant superintendents responsible for both CB-3 and CB-2. The project was completed ahead of schedule with no major problems. 

 

Pacific Bell Northern California Data Center
Fairfield, California

    In joint venture with Testing Engineers, Inc., F. E. Jordan Associates, Inc. provided resident engineering, materials testing and inspection services on this multimillion dollar facility for Pacific Bell in Fairfield, California.

 

EBMUD Administration Building
Oakland, California

    The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) was located in several buildings in Oakland and decided to consolidate its operation in a high-rise building in downtown Oakland. F. E. Jordan Associates, Inc. was retained in joint venture by EBMUD to provide construction management and inspection on the new $40 million 10-story steel frame administrative building in Oakland. Although there was delay due to the resolution of contaminated soil, the building was brought in on revised schedule.
